Dubai: There is no exception, even if it is an official from traffic department, when it comes to tinting windshield over the permitted limit.
A new campaign has been kicked off to generate awareness among government officials. Brigadier Mohammad Saif Al Zafein, Director of Dubai Police’s Traffic Department, said the motive of the drive, which started this week, focuses on alerting personnel of the traffic department, the employees of traffic public prosecution and employees of licensing department at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) that they need to be a role model for others.
Brigadier Al Zafein said the campaign emphasises the importance of abiding by the permitted tinting level, which is 30 per cent.
He said the traffic department is the concerned authority that implements laws and therefore they must be the first to abide by it.
