Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan left for Kazakhstan on Monday on a state visit.
The visit is in response to an invitation from Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Shaikh Khalifa will hold talks with his Kazakh counterpart on ways to enhance bilateral relations.
The two leaders will also take stock of a host of issues of mutual concern.
Shaikh Khalifa was seen off by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Abdul Aziz Al Gurair, Speaker of Federal National Council, Shaikh Saif Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior, Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Emiri Aviation Authority in Abu Dhabi, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works, Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Butti Al Hamed, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Hamed, President's Special Advisor, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Colonel Shaikh Ahmad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Critical National Infrastructure Authority, Abdullah Al Masoud, Speaker of National Consultative Council, and a number of Shaikhs, Ministers and senior civilian and military officials.
The President is accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, including Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidential Affairs Minister, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Ahmad Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Presidential Affairs Minister and Ebrahim Hassan Saif, UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
