Dubai: Emirates Post celebrated World Post Day by felicitating the winners and participants of the annual international letter-writing, as part of the worldwide celebrations to mark the 134th anniversary of the founding of Universal Postal Union (UPU).

The celebrations are being held in association with the Ministry of Education and the Writers' Association, attended by supervisors and students from participating schools in the UAE.

Recognition

Mohammad Bin Shaker, Assistant Director-General, Zones, Emirates Post, and Abdullah Al Shamsi, head of education affairs, Ministry of Education, gave away prizes and certificates to winners and school supervisors.

Bin Shaker said: "World Post Day is a major event on the annual postal calendar. The UPU has played a pivotal role in international postal affairs. At Emirates Post, we take this occasion to reaffirm our commitment to the community by providing convenient and user-friendly services."
