Dubai: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), the Dubai Government owned, diversified Energy Group, recently honoured staff members at four different service stations for their honesty and integrity.
A bag containing Dh380,000 along with a passport of a customer was found in one of ENOC service stations. The employee, who found the bag, handed it to his supervisor who returned it to the customer.
In another incident, a carwash operator found an envelope containing Dh2,400 in the vacuum bay trash bin and promptly handed it over to his Shift-in-Charge. Also, two mobile phones were found in two different stations and were returned to their owners.
Furthermore, two Shift-in-Charge employees working at different service stations demonstrated tremendous honesty in two separate incidents after finding cash of Dh1,500 and Dh1,100 at the counter. An expensive golden ring with diamonds was also found in another incident and handed to the police.
Letters of appreciation were given to the honest employees by ENOC Retail Operations department.
Saeed Abdullah Khoory, ENOC Group Chief Executive, said: "Employees are the face of the organisation, and I would like to take this opportunity to commend them for their honesty."
Majid Sabt, Acting Retail Operations Manager, said: "These incidents may seem small but we consider them as great examples reflecting the honesty and integrity of our staff. At ENOC, we place significant emphasis on honesty, and we hope these examples serve as inspiration to others."
