Al Ain: Hot and dry weather has overtaken the windy and dusty conditions in the emirates, pushing the mercury as high as 45 degrees Celsius in some areas.
Weathermen are attributing the high temperatures to southeasterly winds, saying they are not only hot but also dry. The speed of the winds has gone down, ending the dusty spell.
Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Liwa were the country’s hotspots on Wednesday with 45C temperatures. The conditions are less hot in Dubai with maximum temperature of 41C.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), the conditions would continue to be hot and hazy in general. Some low clouds will appear over eastern mountains by the afternoon.
