Dubai: The country's north-east welcomed more showers late on Thursday, as towering coulds and gusting wind caused blowing dust in the area, weathermen said.

The late-afternoon showers were seen over Al Saa, Al Dhafrah Al Ajeeli-Al Manaie Road and Wadi Al Quor, Muzeera and Masfout districts.

Over the weekend, more rains are expected to fall in some parts of the country, with a chance of fog and mist formations on early mornings, signalling a shift to more temperate weather conditions.
The latest forecasts suggest that UAE residents can expect mild temperatures in the evenings, as well as early mornings, although humidity, heat and dusts aren’t going away just yet.
Rains have doused many areas in the countryside in the last few days, bringing torrents of water in parched wadis and valleys, and bringing momentarily relief from the heat and humidity.
Just last Wednesday, light and moderate rains were reported in Um Ghafa and Malagit in Al Ain, respectively, while the towns of Mahafaz in Sharjah and Al Habab in Dubai were lashed with heavy rains.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), Thursday to Sunday will still be “partly cloudy and hazy at times, hot during daytime.”
There will most likely be foggy patches or mist formations over the coasts and west of the country on Saturday and Sunday morning.
“Convective clouds will form over the eastern regions and some southern regions in the afternoon with rainfall,” NCMS said.
On Monday, the weather will be “fair to sometimes partly cloudy” but still "hot during daytime, mild and humid by night and early morning, with a chance of fog or mist formation over the coasts and west of the country."
"Convective clouds will form over some Eastern mountainous areas in the afternoon."
Out at sea, particularly in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, conditions will be moderate in general.
