Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday sent a text message to national service recruits and graduates.

In the message, Shaikh Mohammad expressed his pride in the recruits, and paid tribute to their exemplary national spirit. He also hailed their sense of responsibility, commitment and diligence in the fields of national service training.

Shaikh Mohammad said: “Your diligence and dedication in serving your nation is a source of pride for all of us. The loyal UAE Leadership and people see you as the nation’s hope and future.”

The message was sent on the occasion of the graduation of a new batch of national service and reserves graduates, and coincides with the #Pride initiative launched by the UAE Youth Council.

Shaikh Mohammad’s gesture stems from his strong faith and confidence in the loyal people of the UAE and their pivotal role in building the UAE’s present, preserving the nation’s leadership and creating a brighter future.

Major General Pilot Shaikh Ahmad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, said that Shaikh Mohammad’s message had an immense positive outcome on the morale of recruits of the national service and reserves authority.

He said that this gesture contains great national sentiments and is like a badge of honour from a father to his children. Shaikh Ahmad added that the message is a sincere expression of the UAE leadership’s gratitude for the efforts exerted by the recruits to serve their nation, and that Shaikh Mohammad’s words serves as a great source of encouragement for recruits to continue their national march of sacrificing everything for the safety of the nation.

Shamma Suhail Faris Al Mazroui, Minister of State for Youth, hailed Shaikh Mohammad’s gesture. She pointed out that Shaikh Mohammad’s words of pride come from an inspirational leader who is always keen on motivating, encouraging and empowering youth so that they can carry out their role in boosting the nation’s march and boosting its national achievements.

Al Mazroui pointed out that Emirati youth heeding the call and seizing the honour to join the national service is a reflection of the strong foundations established by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It also reflects the genuine values and principles instilled in the hearts of Emiratis, their love for the nation and ability to make valuable sacrifices to so that the UAE can stand tall among other nations and peoples.
