Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received Somalian President Mohammad Abdullah Mohammad Farmajo, who is visiting the UAE.
They discussed avenues of cooperation in the fight against terrorism and armed groups as well as joint action to maintain security and stability in Somalia.
The talks also touched on development issues, humanitarian programmes and reconstruction projects carried out by the UAE in Somalia.
The Somalian president briefed Shaikh Mohammad on the Somalian government’s efforts to implement development programmes and combat terrorism.
Later, Shaikh Mohammad received Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. They discussed bilateral relations, especially with regard to the political, economic and investment sectors.
