Abu Dhabi: A campaign to raise awareness on the importance of following travel advisories was launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The ministry said the campaign aims to make Emiratis understand the importance of following travel guidelines and advisories before and during their travel abroad, with the goal of ensuring their safety.

The campaign kicked off in various media and social media channels, coinciding with Eid Al Fitr and the summer holiday season.

Rashid Ali Al Daheri, Director of the Citizens Affairs Department at the ministry, stressed that it is important for Emiratis to follow travel advisories on the ministry’s website (www.mofa.gov.ae).

The campaign also focuses on ensuring that Emiratis are registered in the Tawajudi service, which can be done through the ministry’s website and app.

The guidelines also urged Emirati to keep the ministry’s numbers in hand in case of any emergencies. Emiratis abroad can either contact 00971600599991 or contact the call centre on toll-free 80044444.
