Dubai: Who wouldn’t love a taxi ride in a Lamborghini Aventador or Ferrari California to anywhere in Dubai?
Yes, it’s happening in the only city where such out-of-the world things can happen.
A Lamborghini, a Ferrari, a Mercedes SLS, a Rolls-Royce Ghost — the list goes on. And it’s all for free.
If you are lucky enough, you can get a free ride in ten of the world’s most coveted cars from different locations over the next three weekends.
A Dubai Festival and Retail Establishment initiative, as part of the Dubai Motor Festival drive, the supercar taxis revved up their campaign from The Dubai Mall on Friday.
The rides were also available on Friday at Dubai Airport Terminal 3 and The Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah.
The idea of the initiative is to allow people to fulfil their dreams in taking a ride in one of these supercars, said one of the organisers.
And it is indeed a dream come true for Mariam, who has been waiting for a long time for a ride in her favourite Aventador.
“I just can’t wait to feel the thrill of the ride. I have always dreamt about driving an Aventador, but even if I can’t drive here, I can take a free ride to my chosen destination, which is awesome,” said Mariam, who is from Iran.
Another lucky resident was Shihab, who got a ride in a Mercedes SLS.
All ten supercars available for the campaign are worth more than Dh1 million each.
The taxi ride is available from select locations from around the city on November 21-22, 28-29 and December 5-6.
The chauffeur driven one-way rides will be available from the Mall of the Emirates on Saturday.
Apart from a Lamborghini Aventador, a Ferrari California, Mercedes SLS, the line- up includes two Rolls-Royces, an Audi R8, a Bentley and a Mercedes G63.
