Microsoft has officially launched its new Surface Pro laptop with detachable keyboard in the UAE.

With longer battery life, enhanced performance and a superior display, the 12.3-inch PixelSense Display (2,736 x 1,824 resolution) resembles just like the last Surface Pro 4 but the magnesium-aluminium alloy frame is rounded at the edges more dramatically than before.

Mohammad Arif, Windows and Devices Business Group Lead at Microsoft Gulf, said that the laptop has been re-engineered from the bottom up, to deliver on Microsoft’s ongoing pledge to help every individual and organisation on the planet to achieve more with Windows 10 Creators Update.

Microsoft has raised the pressure sensitivity of its pen to 4,096 levels, which means creators will have more control over the width and intensity of their lines in illustrations or designs than before.

Arif claims that benchmark tests revealed that when used with the new Surface Pro, the Surface Pen is twice as responsive as the Apple Pencil.

The new Surface Pro is powered by seventh-generation Intel Core m3, Core i5, and Core i7 processors with a starting price of Dh4,499.

It comes with the regular keyboard buy if you need the new Alcantara Type Cover keyboard over the microfibre cloth version users need to pay Dh100 extra and the stylus cost another Dh249.
