Abu Dhabi: The Martyrs’ Families Affairs Office has announced the launch of the campaign #UAEisproudofyou, as part of its preparations for the Martyrs’ Day, which falls on November 30.

The campaign aims to engage all segments of the society in activities and events organised by the office and express the appreciation and pride at the sacrifices made by the Emirati martyrs while defending their homeland and maintaining its achievements.

The campaign will focus on the heroic sacrifices made for the sake of the country and will laud the efforts exerted by the wise leadership to advance the UAE’s development progress.

Shaikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Director of The Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, said the Martyrs’ Day is a red-letter day through which everyone can express the pride at the sacrifices made by the UAE martyrs.

The #UAEisproudofyou campaign comes in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attach utmost attention and pay rich tribute to the martyrs’ sacrifices, Shaikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoun added.

He further said the campaign embodies the keenness of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on paying special attention to the families of martyrs and engaging all members of the society to express pride at the martyrs’ sacrifices.

The campaign features a lot of supportive events and activities that target various societal segments and students-tailored programmes to celebrate the Martyr’s Day through drawing portraits that reflect sacrifices made by martyrs. The campaign also features different sports and social events as well as workshops and meetings.
