Sharjah: Police are investigating the death of a 59-year-old Indian whose body was found hanging from a ceiling fan of his accommodation in Industrial Area 1 in Sharjah on Monday afternoon, a police official told Gulf News .
Police, ambulance and forensic experts attended the scene of the incident.
The police collected evidence and fingerprints from the site. The investigation showed the man apparently used a piece of clothing and tied it around his neck.
The deceased’s body was moved to a forensic laboratory for autopsy to determine the cause of death, the official said.
Oficials said that according to initial investigations, the deceased decided to end his life, but they said they can’t confirm the cause of death until they are done with the investigation and the interrogation of the deceased’s friends, relatives and roommates.
