Dubai: A man reportedly fell from a building in Al Khail Gate on Tuesday afternoon, witnesses said.
Residents said an Indian man was seen lying on the first floor of a building in Al Khail Gate Phase 2. It is unclear if the man fell or jumped from the building. His condition is not known.
“I heard a sound, like a loud thud, and I heard a shout. When I looked, I saw a man fall on the shade of a small space on the first floor,” a witness, who requested anonymity, told Gulf News.
The witness was standing on the ground floor when the incident happened.
The man who fell is believed to be in his forties.
“I was going to pick up my sister’s child. I was waiting for the school bus when it happened. There was a huge commotion. I couldn’t see much but I saw blood,” the witness added.
S.N., a neighbour, said the man is from Tamil Nadu and works as house help in one of the flats on the seventh floor.
“I am living on the same floor. The incident happened at around 3pm. I used to see him when I went out to pick up my kids. I also saw him downstairs today before this happened,” S.N. said.
