Five-star cooking session
If you're a kitchen klutz like me, acquiring some cooking skills this Eid might not be a bad idea. For starters, you can attend the Chef’s Palette by Gaggenau cooking classes at Fairmont The Palm, covering Arabic cuisine, traditional sushi, Mediterranean seafood creations, pastries and desserts.
An interactive session covers two hours and is available for small groups of up to 12 people in their beautiful state-of-the-art kitchen (yes, like the ones you see on TV shows). Each participant get a souvenir apron and a take-home recipe. Starting from Dh155. Call 04 4573457 or email palm.dining@fairmont.com
Get your kids more active
Check in your kids at Dubai Sports City's Football Academy as it prepares for its multiple progammes to kick off. There's Spanish Soccer Schools, and the Spanish Soccer Kids programme, which has been expanded to cater to children from 4 years old to 8 years old. Call 04 4481555 or email football@dsc.ae
