Showbiz Arabia: Rami Ayach
Ayach and Lebanese artist Yara are preparing to sing together. The song will be on Yara's new album and its video will be shot soon.
Friendship turns sour
Sirine Abdelnour's song is leaked on the internet. She accuses Rami Ayach of carelessness .
Lebanese artists Rami Ayach and Sirine Abdelnour were once very close friends. Ayach even wrote and composed
Abdelnour's song, Ajmal Bint bi hal Dini (The Most Beautiful Girl in the World). But the problem started a week ago when this song was leaked on the internet, sung by Ayach. Enraged Abdelnour told Rami that she doesn't want to sing his song
anymore.
The lyrics, written especially for Abdelnour, goes like this:"The most beautiful girl in the world is me, because I love you/ The
most beautiful girl in this world is me because I am in your heart".
Speculating
Ayach said that he doesn't feel awkward singing these words. Speculating about who might be behind the leak, Ayach said
the song was sent to several studios for the arrangements with his voice, so he has an idea who put the song on the internet.
But Abdelnour implicitly accused Ayach of carelessness, saying that he might have left the CD unattended in his car. She added that Ayach couldn't be personally behind the leak:"He cannot be so proud of himself while he is singing ‘I am the most beautiful girl in the world'."
Ayach said that whether Abdelnour sings the song or not, the song will be released with a female voice."I don't care anymore, I composed the song with all my heart for my friend Sirine, but now I'll give it to someone else because somebody has to sing it."
Meanwhile, Ayach is just back from Egypt where he performed for 3,000 people at the German University of Cairo.
Final touches
Meanwhile, Ayach and Lebanese artist Yara are preparing to sing together. The song will be on Yara's new album and its
video will be shot soon.
Yara is putting the final touches to her CD, which is expected on the market early next month. The album contains ten songs in the Lebanese and Egyptian dialects. Yara is also preparing a whole album in the Gulf dialect. It should be launched next
September.
Ajram's latest on the way
Lebanese star Nancy Ajram will launch her new album this month. The CD contains songs in the Lebanese, Egyptian and Gulf dialects. One song is composed by Nancy's brother Nabil. This eliminates rumours about problems between the two siblings after Nabil decided to start a singing career.
Preparation
Last week Nancy went to Cairo for a concert. She then flew to Jordan for another performance. Nancy is now back in Beirut to prepare for the launch of her album.
Nancy finished shooting the video of Risala lil Alam (A Message to the World) with director Fady Haddad. The song was launched a year ago with the CD Shakhbat Shakhabit.
Pickpocket in Paris
Jihane, wife of Lebanese singer Ragheb Alame, was the victim of a pickpocket in Paris. Jihane was on her way to a parking lot when a pickpocket stole her fashionable bag. She was with her brother's fiancée and after the theft the two women didn't have money to pay for the parking.
Help
Jihane didn't have a choice but to call Ragheb, who called a friend to help his wife. When his wife contacted him, the Lebanese artist was probably working. Virgin will launch Ragheb's new CD in Dubai on Wednesday.
‘I mixed history with modernity'
In a recent interview, Lebanese singer Carole Samaha, who played the role of Zenobia in the musical of the same name,
said,"The play will be shown in July at the Pyramids in Egypt. It is also going to be shown in Palmyra, where queen Zenobia lived. I'm not afraid to play the role of Zenobia in Palmyra. I gave the role new blood, I mixed history with modernity." Samaha will start a North American tour on May 20 with star George Wassouf. The tour will end in Canada on June 20.
