If I had to pick one superpower, it would be Harry Potter's — magic. This is an all-in-one offer. (Get born to a witch and a wizard and you're set for life!) Don't feel like doing homework? Threaten your little sibling. ‘I will give you a wart' works much better than ‘I'll tell mom what you did yesterday!' ‘With great power comes great responsibility,' says Spiderman. However ‘responsibilities' would take up a lot of my time and patience. Maybe I'll just use the powers for myself. I am a teenager, even though an incredibly intelligent one with super special powers.

Rhyann Sidney Simon, three [As told by Reema Sidney, Rhyann’s mother]
My son is just three-and-a-half years old and already has his first superhero. It's a name I never heard in my growing years — Ben 10 — the superherokid. Ben 10 looks more like a 16-year-old to me but charms my three-year-old [son] like no one else. What I understand is that Ben 10 has a special watch that does not read time, but helps him transform to ten different alien species and saves the world. My son of course has a Ben 10 watch. He jabs it to get funky music out and does a funny run — we call the it the ‘Ben 10 run'. He carries the watch with him to school but wears it only after school [as such accessories are not allowed there]. I know he feels brave and strong wearing it though he is too young to explain his feelings; I can only make of this thanks to his menacing grin after wearing the watch. Over the past few months he has got a small collection of items with the super kid on them. This, I am sure, is just the beginning.

I don't like cartoons and do not idolise any superheroes from them. My superhero is Prithviraj [Indian actor]. I like the way he walks and the way he turns around and stares. Above all the way he thrashes bad men. I believe he has the superpower to be able to throw the villains off the cliff. I watch his action shots over and over again. I am so happy when somebody says I look like him. I readily eat my food when my parents say I will be as strong as Prithviraj.

Ishan Raj, nine
I would like to turn my whole body into fire without burning. If two countries were about to fight a war I would make a firewall between them so that they cannot fight. If somebody was about to press a button of a nuclear weapon, I would melt that button and prevent the damage. If there was a submarine with a hole in it, I would melt a little metal and weld it so it does not sink. I would block thieves from escaping by blocking the alleys they were running. I would stop a gunshot by melting the gun. If a place was too cold, I would warm it up.

I would like to have the power to survive under water. I love swimming and it would be great to be able to go deep into the sea and watch all the marine life without bothering about breath. I don't have any superhero, but earlier, I was a big fan of Ben 10. His ability to transform into crazy animals was amazing.
