Our trusty snapper has scooped Audi Approved showroom opens in AUH some nice pics of the Mercedes- Benz CLA 45 AMG, with which Stuttgart aims to repeat the huge success the bigger CLS had in the four-door coupé segment. Although the prototype’s still camouflaged, the new set of pictures reveal the final shape of the baby CLS, which shares its platform with the latest A-Class and B-Class models. Likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder expected to deliver as much as 330bhp and good for a sub-5.0- second dash to a 100kph from nought, the CLA will feature an all-wheel drive system with an AMG seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It will also have all the usual trappings including a custom sports suspension setup and an electromechanical AMG speed-sensitive steering. With sales set to begin some time next year, it could well have its official debut at the Geneva motor show in March.
