- The power-to-weight ratio of the hot B2 could well get close to the Ferrari 458’s figure of almost 380bhp per tonne.
It was in 2009 that we first saw the B2 concept car at the Frankfurt motor show,
but the company’s got closer to production of the supercar since, with manufacture outsourced to Finland. The changes made to this hardcore B2, spied in the photographs, seem limited, at least cosmetically to the rear of the car, with new aerodynamic enhancing parts and extra air intakes.
The latter suggest more power gained from the Cosworth-sourced 2.8-litre turbo V6, which produces 360bhp and 600Nm of torque in the standard B2. However, with a weight of only 1,100kg thanks to its aluminium semi-monocoque chassis and carbon-fibre body panels, the power-to-weight ratio of the hot B2 could well get close to the Ferrari 458’s figure of almost 380bhp per tonne, since the Russian supercar should make as much as 420bhp.
