Off the Wall: Street Art Legends
The Off the Wall: Street Art Legends exhibition has brought in work by arguably the world’s most legendary urban street artist, Banksy. The anonymous Brit artist is known for his politically charged graffiti, which has popped up from his UK hometown of Bristol to New Orleans and Palestine.
Despite his popularity (Brad and Ange own some of his pieces) he has managed to keep his identity under wraps, and apparently his parents don’t even know he’s Banksy!
Banksy is not the only artist on show, the man behind the image portraying Banksy as an Oscar, aka Mr Brainwash, celeb fave and American graffiti legend, Shepard Fairey, and Amsterdam-based street art group, The London Police, will also be on show.
The exhibition is also showing up-and-coming artists, including French DJ-turned-artist activist, Gwenael Salaun, and 21-year-old Iraqi cartoon-style graphic artist, Saif Chilmiran.
The exhibition is hoping to inspire others and encourage urban art in the region.
If you’re a huge fan of the work, you can do a Brangelina and buy the pieces, but head down asap because the works are going fast.
