Dubai’s luxury Al Barari development is situated just off Emirates Road in what is known as the ‘royal’ area of Nad Al Sheba. Derived from the Arabic word for ‘wilderness’ and bordered by a wildlife reserve, when driving up the long tree-lined road that leads to the secluded community’s villas, it’s easy to see why people describe it as one of the most beautiful and exclusive areas in Dubai.

There are four villa styles on offer at Al Barari – Acacia, Bromellia, Camellia and Dahlia. The InsideOut team spent an afternoon visiting a Dahlia-style home; a lavishly designed six-bedroom show home with a beautiful garden.
“While the majority of our luxury villas have already been purchased, there are some homes that are currently available for lease including some of the Dahlia villas,” Mohammed says. “Featuring an authentic Arabian architectural style paired with contemporary design, these homes bring the indoors and outdoors together, paying homage to the heritage of the UAE.”
Stepping inside, the detail with which the interiors have been crafted is palpable. Rich colours and textures create a space that’s both elegant and homely. “The Dahlia villas feature three-levels and boast six master en-suite bedrooms with dressing rooms, a study, separate living room and dining areas, two fully fitted kitchens, a powder room and a basement room with bathroom,” Mohammed says. “The home also offers a maid’s quarters with a bedroom, kitchenette, a terrace and a private entrance.”
The villas are all built in accordance with a strict environmental management plan and landscape architects have ensured conservation of biodiversity by using a variety of local species. The gardens have pools, outdoor showers, bathrooms and barbecue areas.
Mohammed says the homes are perfect for large families that enjoy luxury living in a secluded space. “Al Barari residents are well-travelled and cosmopolitan individuals seeking an exclusive, opulent lifestyle with environmental credentials,” he says. “Having said that, the community is close knit and we often host events like outdoor cinema screenings to thank the residents for making their homes here. The fact that most of the development is green is unique, and I believe that makes a world of difference to the people living here.”
