Claudie Pierlot opens
Dubai is getting more Parisian by the minute. Following the news of the expansion of sister brands Sandro and Maje (four new stores each next month, at Dubai Mall, Yas Mall, Dubai Festival City and Dubai Marina Mall), comes the first store in the UAE from the super-cute yet always chic Claudie Pierlot (even the founder’s name is a adorable). Opening next month in Dubai Mall’s Star Atrium, it will stock the ’70s-inspired FW15 collection by artistic director Vanessa Pierrat.

This eco-conscious jewellery line from the US has just landed exclusively at Bloomingdale’s-Dubai with over 50 styles of stackable charm bangles that are supposed to make you feel good: 1, because they are made using recycled metals, and 2, because they feature positive-energy symbols. Choose which one of those floats your boat the most (or both!). Our favourite thing is the price: Dh125-260 depending on the style. Sandra Bullock to Christy Turlington are fans. Find them on the ground floor.

It’s colourful, it’s vegan and it’s now in the UAE. This make-up brand features 60 nail shades (Dh39), vegan-friendly make-up brushes with non-slip-grip handles (from Dh39) and beauty tools including lash curlers, hair ties, nail files and tweezers. We love the ponytail-friendly Tress Ties (Dh36) that won’t snag or bend hair. Pick them up at Virgin Megastore and Glamazle.com.
barbie!
Barbie might just be better dressed than you. As part of its 10th anniversary, a display of Barbie Collector dolls will be at Mall of the Emirates’ Central Galleria, dressed in bespoke creations by some of the world’s most renowned fashion houses, inspired by fashion collections over five decades, including Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Herve Leger, Versace, Zuhair Murad and Christian Louboutin. Jealous, moi?
Check it out from September 2-8; from September 9-14, Barbie takes on a modern rock-star look. There’s also a Barbie Hand Spa and temporary tattoos.
