Janet Jackson has confirmed what most people have thought for a long time: That she’s expecting a baby.
Congratulations are due to the singer, 50, who on Wednesday made her baby news official, a few days after media spotted her shopping for babywear in London.

Sharing a picture of herself patting her baby bump, she told People magazine that “we thank God for our blessing”.
Jackson is married to Qatar-based businessman Wissam Al Mana, and earlier in 2016 cancelled a planned tour to try for a family. This will be Jackson’s first child.
“I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family,” she said at the time. “Please if you can try and understand that its important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”
In May, E! News, quoting an unnamed source, said that she is in her second trimester and had been seeing a fertility specialist for some time.
