Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman says that the upcoming biographical film about iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, will be one of the biggest movie events of the year.
Rahman has composed for Sachin: A Billion Dreams, which is directed by James Erskine. There is no official release date for the film yet.
The drama features the 43-year-old master blaster and will revealing some aspects of his life that have never been heard of or seen before.
“The music will reflect his childhood days until the point he became a legend. I am excited for it. That’s one of the most awaited film of the year. So many people are looking forward to it,” Rahman said.
“So far, whatever I have seen, it has turned out a really beautiful movie. But they’re still making it. So the work is on,” he added.
Apart from this film, Rahman will also be teaming up with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker for Mohenjo Daro. He has previously collaborated with Gowariker on Lagaan, Swades and Jodha Akbar.
“Mohenjo Daro is completely different. It is really a unique movie. It has got a lot of romance in it. And whatever I saw I really liked,” Rahman said.
Mohenjo Daro is an epic love story set in the Indus Valley civilization.
The film is reportedly about the protagonist falling in love with his enemy’s daughter. Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde feature in the lead roles.
