Top prize for the best-dressed lady is the use of a Jaguar XK for a year.
With only 43 shopping days left, if you haven't started looking for an outfit for the Dubai World Cup, it's time to get moving — especially if winning the style stakes competition is your aim.
Jaguar, the sponsor of the annual best dresses competition, and Meydan announced on Thursday the brand-new judging panel that will choose the best-dressed lady, the best-dressed man, the best-dressed couple and the best hat on March 31. Australian Simon Locke, creative director of Dubai Fashion Week and a veteran of similar competitions at the Melbourne Cup, will be joined by Dubai-based fashion designer Furne One — who has worked with Katy Perry and Heidi Klum. Jaguar marketing manager Nicola Gibson and Esquire style editor Alistair Mulhall complete the panel.
Top prize for the best-dressed lady is the use of a Jaguar XK for a year. Two new categories have also been added — most creative hat and most elegant lady. The latter will be chosen by a Longines jury as women enter the event, with a rose gold and diamond watch up for grabs.
Pre-registration is now open until March 29 on the Meydan website to avoid queuing on the day.
