Nazeer Ahmed, 32, Executive Operations

Before: Nazeer wears the wrong colours for his skin tone, his body is V-shaped (large shoulder, small waist) and he wears unflattering clothes that highlight this.

After: We gave him a shave to accentuate his jawline and give him a cleaner look. Then we put him in a suitable colour, balanced his body shape by putting him in jeans one size bigger and created volume at his waist by closing only one button of the pullover. A scarf gave his look the finishing touch.

Ted Reyes, 27, Engineer

Before: Ted has a nice body, but his top is over-sized and his shoes and the length of his t-shirt make his legs look shorter than they are.

After: As beige is a very flattering colour on Ted, the trench coat was a good option along with a slim shirt to show off his well-built torso and v-shaped trousers to help make his legs look longer. The tucked-in shirt shows off the light coloured belt, which we placed mid-waist to even out his upper body and lower body. The glasses add to the sophistication of the outfit.

Awad N'doye*, 36, Event manager

Before: Awad's height is a real challenge. Tops are too short, shoes have to be made on special request, sleeves and pants are usually too short.

After: We picked out the brands in trousers and jeans that offer several length options on the same waist size, with a straight-cut pant to balance Awad's height. As for the sleeves on a casual-to smart-casual outfit, an easy way to work it out is by folding them up. Also, to compensate for the length of his tops, an untucked shirt tricks the eye into making all his clothes look perfectly fitted. To wrap it up, a tie matching the colour of the pants is the perfect final touch.

Nabil Bu Samah, 26, Immigration Officer

Before: Nabil has a very young and funky look generally, which makes him look younger than he is. But, like a lot of men his age, he has a hard time getting the formal look right without compromising his trendy spirit.

After: The grey suit is a very good option for combining with a white T-shirt and trainers. The challenge is in finding the right length when it comes to the jacket. Most suits are made to accommodate tall people. The blazer should stop right where the legs start and be close to the body. And the sleeves should not go over the hand – unless you want to look like you borrowed it from your big bro! The long scarf around the neck is the must-have accessory to complete
this outfit.

Scarf: Diesel, Dhs585
T-shirt: H&M, Dhs44

Waseem Hamdan, 25, Director

Before: Wasseem always dresses comfortably, as he has to be on set constantly. Although his jeans are a good cut and colour, they're a bit long and this shade of grey and the short v-neck of his T-shirt are not flattering. Wasseem wants to look smart, but needs a bit of help pulling it off.

After: The three-piece black suit is a classic that never goes out of style. It is the perfect option for Wasseem. Now, the trick is to accessorise it the right way; the thin, trendy tie balances the classiness of the white handkerchief. The black leather trainers are great in combination with a suit, keeping it young and fresh. The extra touch lies in carrying a bag that's just the right style and size.

Suit: Reiss, Dhs2295
Waistcoat: Reiss, Dhs595
Tie: Fred Perry, Dhs220
Shirt: H&M, Dhs159
Shoes: Fred Perry, Dhs355
Bag: Fred Perry, Dhs385

Dejan Jovanovic, 26, Writer

Before: Dejan loves his jeans-shirt-Converse combo. He has a good height and figure, but Dejan's pants are slightly too short and the shirt does nothing for him.

After: Jeans one size bigger made all the difference in shape and length. A well-fitted T-shirt is the right length, accentuating his height. We also switched his Converse for white trainers, as the blazer calls for it. Then we added a darker cardigan to balance the contrast between the colours. The stylish touch in Dejan's outfit is the handkerchief in his blazer.

Blazer: Massimo Dutti, Dhs1325
Cardigan: Reiss, Dhs350
T-shirt: Massimo Dutti, Dhs195
Jeans: Diesel, Dhs1325
Trainers: Fred Perry, Dhs355
