Home-grown talent Deeya Nanda presented her debut collection titled Malice in Wonderland on the ramp at Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) on Saturday. Deeya's garments, inspired by her favourite storybook and her own fantasies and phobias, sought to create a wonderland for adults where they could express the child inside them.

The young designer paid attention to every detail right from the rose petals strewn on the ramp to the dark, smudged look of the models, hair accessories made from paper cups and plates, props such as a basket of apples, and dolls with charred faces carried by the models plus an original track recorded for the event. The show was well received with many garments receiving spontaneous applause from the audience.
