Galaxy Tab 10.1
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is Samsung's best attempt yet at eating into iPad's share of the tablet market. At 565g and with a depth of 8.6mm, the Tab 10.1 is lighter and slimmer than the iPad 2 (8.8mm, 802gm) and the HD 1280x800 screen doesn't disappoint either. TouchWiz UI, seen earlier on Galaxy SII, has some cool additions for tablets like mini-apps (utility apps that pop over full-screen applications). Another huge plus is the Polaris suite that lets you use this tablet as a business tool. But overall, the UI still has some ground to cover before it can match up to the Apple experience. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a decent piece of hardware, but ultimately, a tablet is only as good as the apps it can run. And at the moment, you can only wish the Android Market kept pace with Samsung's exciting tablets.
