Dubai loves its stand-ups. And it looks like funnyman Max Amini’s heard that too. The American-Iranian returns to the city for a performance at Ductac, Mall of the Emirates, on July 24. And he’ll be performing not one, but two shows that day, at 7pm and 9.30pm.
Amini’s bringing his new show called Authentically Absurd, and will include his acerbic take on the lives of second-generation immigrants, with subject matter ranging from family ties, culture clashes and social issues.
“After his sold-out shows worldwide, we are thrilled to bring Max Amini to Dubai. With the UAE’s large Iranian community, I’m sure Max will feel right at home in his return to the region after wildly successful shows in previous years,” said Adil Yaqoob, the general manager of Leo Events.
Tickets to Max Amini’s Authentically Absurd are priced Dh250 (silver) and Dh375 (gold), and are available on ductac.org
