Dubai: Dubai Islamic Economy Development Centre (DIEDC) said on Sunday that nominations of the Islamic Economy Awards 2014 have had a high uptake from international and local companies.

The Islamic Economy Award is a joint initiative by the DIEDC and Thomson Reuters.

The award will recognise global and regional leadership within eight categories. The Lifetime Achievement category has attracted the largest number of submissions to date.

Submissions of nominations for the award will remain open until October 7. The award winners will be announced in the 4th quarter of 2014.
