Abu Dhabi: Emirates Traffic Safety Society will be hosting the international traffic safety symposium on the impact of law enforcement and monitoring in traffic safety next month.

The event will be held at Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi from November 2 to 3, under the auspices of Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Honorary President of the international symposium.

The seminar will highlight effectiveness of legislation, legal punishments for traffic offences, traffic safety law enforcement strategies, impact of penalties in curbing traffic accidents, violations, deterrence mechanisms and methods.

The event will also be held in cooperation with the International Organisation for Road Accident Prevention, Arab Organisation for Traffic Safety, Ministry of Interior, World Health Organisation (WHO) and international research centres from the United States, Canada and Europe.
