Dubai: The General Secretariat of the Dubai Executive Council reviewed the final report on the Dubai Plan 2021’s Innovation Labs launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in December 2014.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive, and Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Hamdan said, “The innovative approach adopted by Dubai requires greater creative ideas that help achieve the UAE’s developmental approach.

“We are anxious to activate the role of the Innovation Labs as dynamic channels that engage the private sector and the whole society in the development progress of the UAE and strengthen its competitiveness in the world”, Shaikh Hamdan added

Shaikh Hamdan gave directives to innovation labs stakeholders to consider and evaluate all ideas and proposals suggested through the innovation labs and put the best of them into practice in order to serve the UAE’s wise vision that aims to ensure the happiness and satisfaction of its people.

Earlier in March, the General Secretariat revealed the final report of the Dubai Plan 2021’s Innovation Labs to stimulate creative ideas and launch initiatives to realise the Dubai Plan 2021’s objectives and ensure the happiness and well-being of the entire community.

Abdullah Al Shaibani, secretary-general of the Executive Council of Dubai, said the innovation labs represent an interactive platform that discusses latest developments regarding the Dubai Plan 2021.

The implementation of the final report’s recommendations is a top priority for Dubai government and the General Secretariat is conducting extensive studies in collaboration with relevant bodies to ensure implementing all initiatives and idea that serve Dubai Plan 2021 very quickly, Al Shaibani added. He noted that the 2016 innovation labs were rich with creative ideas and proposals that translate the vision and directives of Shaikh Mohammad.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, Shaikha Latifa Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Culture, more than 100 experts from both the private and public sector as well as other shaikhs and senior officials.
