Ras Al Khaimah: Air ambulance crew rescued a skier after sustaining injuries while ski boarding on Jess Mountain in Ras Al Khaimah.

Colonel Marshall Pilot Salem Khalifa Salem Al Suwaidi, deputy director of air wing department at Ministry of Interior said: “The operations room at the air wing department received a request on Sunday morning at around 11.40 am to airlift the injured skier to the hospital, in cooperation with National Ambulance crew.”

Medical teams from the air ambulance were dispatched immediately to the accident site to provide first aid and transfer the injured to Shaikh Khalifa Speciality Hospital.

Al Suwaidi urged athletes and sportsmen to take extra caution of sudden events, off-road and steep slopes in mountainous areas, stay away from dangerous zones and not risk their lives in remote places, carry handy communication devices and tools and dress up in the appropriate gear for such sports and activities.
