The people hiding behind religion, using it as a platform for their vicious act of targetting, by taking advantage of the gullible, orphans and the deprived, drive the young to take to violence, citing paradise as a reward for their deeds, thereby succeeding in misinterpretation of the scripture. These homicides ingrained with superficial beliefs based on poorly understood philosophy of ‘Islam’ have taken a toll.
Do these pernicious radicals even have a fraction of knowledge about Islam? The word ‘Islam,’ which is derived from an Arabic root ‘Salema’ solely means peace and purity. Irrespective of religious distinction, none of the religions allow irrational bloodshed of humanity in the name of God.
Islam and its traditions clearly prohibits ‘suicide’ and has firmly been classified as an impermissible act. The religion unambiguously states: one who ‘throws himself off a peak’ or ‘drinks poison’ or ‘kills himself with a sharp instrument’ will be in the fire of Hell. It is forbidden even to those suffering from life threatening trauma, ailment or an austere wound.
Ultimately, the right to add or deduct an epoch from our lives resides with the creator.
Another advocacy underlining the dogma, is the misinterpretation of the Islamic credence ‘Jihad,’ which originates from an Arabic root, that means ‘Strive.’ Jihad in its factual sense is an exertion to eradicate evil from oneself or from humanity. It is a comprehensive notion that it includes opposing evil proclivities either on a spiritual, communal or a constitutional level.
So why is ‘Jihad,’ the only action in Muslims faith which has drawn much attention of the global world?
Maybe it is just an excuse to wage a ‘War of terror’ against the very known. How much anguish, how much grief, how much death, how much more of the massacre is bound to be veiled?
