Phelps just walked in and is sitting in the row in front of me.
His mother has accompanied and he is whispering something to her. He then sits back as much of him can fit into the narrow chair and she runs her loving down the back of his head and caresses it. Clearly there is a lot of affection between mother and son. His mother could also be seen cheering him on at poolside. Now Phelps is being called to address the media.
