The back-to-school shopping list can seem endless and expensive but there are some great offers out there to lighten the load on your wallet. Here is a round up of what's on sale for deal hunters looking for new school shoes, uniforms, stationery and everything in between.
Designer giveaway
Receive a designer Geox backpack with multi-coloured stationery goodies on purchasing selected children's shoes from the Geox Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. The Geox designer giveaway travel case on wheels is available in royal blue and baby pink. Each bag comes with school essentials such as a cooler bottle, pencil case, note book, whiteboard, ruler and colouring pencils.
All Geox footwear features the breathe system, which has been patented in more than 100 countries in the world. The children's collection has been created to meet the demands of everyday wear and tear, with fun and sturdy features. The back to school offer is available at all Geox stores across the region, including the UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain.
Shoe Mart also has giveaways this season with every purchase of school shoes or a school bag. The special offer is ‘Get a Kool Water Bottle free' on purchase of school shoes or bags. This metal water bottle has Shoe Mart's 20th anniversary logo imprinted on it. Shoe Mart's school essentials feature a range of cartoon characters, colours and sizes available from pencil boxes, bottles, accessories to lunch boxes and trolley bags. Shoe Mart outlets can be found across the UAE.
Cartoon characters
Babyshop has involved a range of cartoon characters to make school-time interesting, with movie icons jumping out of the screen and Disney stars casting their magical spell. The collection features funky lunch boxes, trendy school bags, pencil cases and stationery. Girls can go to school with Disney characters such as Barbie, Snow-white Princess and Disney Fairies; boys can get into action with Ben 10, Spiderman and Iron Man.
This year Babyshop has also introduced sports uniforms such as track pants, hooded vests and shorts along with formals including white shirts and long trousers. The collection is available in all Babyshop stores across the UAE.
Dh100 voucher
Kipling is offering a free gift voucher worth Dh100 on purchase of products worth Dh500. The vouchers are valid until December 31. Kipling offers a large range of back to school products, including the ever-popular model with a trolley system called Topanga; it's a practical two-compartment horizontal school bag on wheels with a three-level handle and extra shoulder straps. For safety reasons, some of these models feature reflective strips.
For younger children, the basic collection offers new products such as a backpack with padded shoulders. This season's colours are deep fuchsia, brink pink, petrol blue, black and expresso brown. Kipling back-to-school models are exclusively available in Kipling stores in Dubai Festival centre, Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre and Sharjah City Centre. Also available in all Jashanmal Department Stores and Jashanmal Around the World in Abu Dhabi.
New range
An all-new range of school staples by H&M has arrived at stores across the UAE. Getting back to lessons is not just the time to shop for only uniforms; there are plenty of other stylish clothes that will make school years fun and memorable. For instance, H&M's checkered shirts are perfect for getting a vintage or lumberjack look for relaxing after class. Other items in the collection include jeans, military-styled clothes, high boots and short jackets. For the teenager girl there are several stylish options with short dresses, green short pants, printed T-shirts, and stripes in black and white.
Style setters
For the stylish teenager Juicy Couture has plenty of cool surprises.
