Over 1,000 retailers sign up for first Summer Deals

Dubai: More than 1,000 retailers have already signed up for the first ever Summer Deals promotion campaign.

Designed to drum up even greater shopping excitement, the joint initiative has been organised by the DSS Office and the Dubai Department of Economic Development.

The closing date for applications is August 15.

Individual retailers can draw up their own Summer Deals promotions which will allow them greater opportunity to run multiple offers during the DSS which is on from June 21 to September 1.

Laila Suhail, DSS Executive Project Director said: "We are pleasantly surprised to see the response and enthusiasm the Summer Deals Promotion has created in business circles. For us it represents the degree of faith the trade and commerce have in the DSS to help them reach their targets in these two months.

"Even more than that it spells a new era in forging even closer relationships between the retail trade and the DSS."

Retailers, brands distributors, restaurants and fast food chains have all signed up for Summer Deals that offer a whole host of exciting benefits to customers.

This is in tandem with special promotions and raffles organised by DSS Key Sponsors, the Dubai Shopping Malls Group and the Dubai Gold and Jewellry Group. Organisers say it is sure to make shopping during DSS even more rewarding.
