Dubai: The Adventure Surprises week of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) has broadened the horizons for many children who might have otherwise spent summer holidays being stuck indoors.

Malls around the city have come up with a raft of activities designed to test children's skills and intelligence - but the adventure ends today.

In association with the Department of Health and Medical Services (DoHMS) BurJuman hosted the seven-day celebration of adventure.

For the final time Adventure surprises will be showcasing activities for children of all ages from 5pm to 10pm. The most popular has been the Around the World Treasure Hunt at BurJuman.

It has four themed adventure stations: African, Arabian, Pirate and Wild West. Children find the treasure ? lots of goodies for them ? by finding themed clues scattered all over the mall, which will lead them to the treasure.

They can register on on their own or as a team at registration stations, of which there are four: at the glass bridge, opposite Rodeo Drive, near the Charriol store, and opposite Dome café on the third floor.

The Adventure Surprise week marks the fourth theme of the 10-week long DSS entertainment and shopping fiesta.

It coincides with the end of the school summer term to provide thousands of children from across the region with fun, but nonetheless constructive, activities in which to participate.

The ten-week long DSS, which opened with Ice Surprises week on June 21, celebrated the Arts Surprises Week, Food Surprises and continues with the weekly themes - Cartoon Surprises, Nature Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises and will conclude with Back-to-School Surprises on September 1.
