Are you ready for fun? The Adventure Surprises kicks off
Dubai: The fourth themed week of DSS officially kicks off this evening with Adventure Surprises, at Mall of the Emirates.
Organised by the Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS), the fun-packed week runs until July 19 and offers an array of adventurous thrills and spills.
A special stage is being set up in the Galleria area of the mall. Themed around ?Adventure is Fun' the opening ceremony, which starts at 7:30pm will include acrobatic performances by a Chinese group of 28 members.
The performers will be seen juggling with various props such as plates, balls, chairs and bikes. They will also present some unbelievable stunts by balancing on bikes and chairs. Throughout the week several interactive shows with active audience participation as well as a number of indoor and outdoor activities.
A very interesting event is the Around the World Treasure Hunt at BurJuman every day between 5pm and 10pm which aims to give an interactive platform to kids to make them aware of different cultures around the world.
It's an educational event that entails four different activities such as Pirate Adventures, African Jungle Adventures, Arabian Knight Adventures and Wild West Adventures.
Several electronic and virtual games to stimulate the mental faculties and reflexes of children are also being held throughout the week.
These include 3D Computer Games Competition, Inning Rally Competition and Amazed by Maze Competition at Al Ghurair City every day of the week between 5 and 10pm.
The competitions include both team and individual games with loads of prizes for the participants and winners.
The mall will also host a Jugglers' show on July 13 from 6 to 6.30pm, 7.30 to 8pm and 9 to 9.30pm.
Chinese Adventures is being presented by an internationally renowned team of 14 members who will perform magic shows in the various shopping malls.
The shows are being held at Lamcy Plaza on July 14, Al Ghurair City on July 15, Ibn Battuta Mall on July 16, BurJuman on July 17, Al Reef Mall on July 18 and Mall of the Emirates on July 19.
