Prizes worth Dh10m given away on final day

A whopping Dh10 million worth of prizes were won by shoppers and raffle enthusiasts on the final day of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2009.

Dubai: A whopping Dh10 million worth of prizes were won by shoppers and raffle enthusiasts on the final day of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) 2009.

The Lexus Mega Raffle, the Nissan Grand Raffle, and promotions organised by Damas, Mashreq, Enoc and Eppco, and Mall of the Emirates, were to announce winners at the raffle stage at Al Seef Street late last night.

These are part of the Dh100 million worth of prizes awarded throughout the 32-day festivities. In total, the DSF has offered Dh1.2 billion worth of prizes in 13 years.

While the Lexus Mega Raffle will give away a total of 6 Lexus cars on the day, and 300,000 as cash in various currencies, the Nissan Grand Raffle will give away a massive 13 cars including the daily Nissan SUV, and 12 Nissan models for 12 winners. Damas will give away 4.5 kilos of gold.

The popular mashreq Millionaire will give Dh1 million to one lucky winner and the Enoc and Eppco raffle will hand over the keys of a dream apartment in Jumeirah worth Dh3 million to one lucky winner. The raffle night will also see Mall of the Emirates hand out prizes of Dh1 million.

Ebrahim Saleh, Coordinator General of DSF Office said, "We have witnessed a wider participation in this year's raffles with multinational winners proving that shoppers and raffle enthusiasts have taken this year's draws very well. The final day of DSF raffles is always the most exciting."
