With only a few days to go before DSF ends, I thought I’d show you some of the price tag shockers I’ve seen during the past few weeks.

Double take

For some of you, the peacock or its feather is a symbol of good luck. My niece has one tattooed on her back. Pretty. Must have hurt pretty much too. Which is why I’m happy to settle for a keychain from Claire’s (above). The discounted price is Dh10, and just my good luck, it comes with a “buy one get one offer” too.

Going green

I thought it was time to wear glasses when I first read the price tag on these Nautica army pants. I was out looking for anything in emerald green (the colour of the year) and this was the only thing that came close. Dh299, slashed down to Dh49. They still have about a dozen in stock.

Red alert

I saw this lone red sweater on the sale rack of American Eagle Outfitters. I did a double take on the price tag. I even asked the clerk to scan the barcode for good measure. And yes, it does only cost Dh25. Does that put you in the mood to paint the town red?

adidas on discount

At Debenhams, there’s a rack of adidas t-shirts on sale. Most of the sizes available are huge, but there’s an enormous discount on the prices. Take this t-shirt for example. Marked down twice, it now costs Dh25.
