Dubai: After days of haze and dust, the UAE’s weather this weekend will turn humid with a chance of fog during early mornings and evenings plus a gradual rise in temperature.

The humidity level will reach a maximum of 90 per cent in Dubai on Friday and Saturday, while Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will have 90 per cent on Friday and 85 and 80 per cent, respectively, on Saturday. It will be less humid and sticky on the east coast in Fujairah, according to the National Centre of Meteorology’s weather bulletin.

Forecasters expect fog formation over some northern areas on Friday and over scattered areas on Saturday.

Dubai and Sharjah’s maximum temperature will remain at 32 degree Celsius on Friday and Saturday. Abu Dhabi will see 4C rise from 31C on Thursday to 35C on Saturday.

Fair Southeasterly becoming Northwesterly wind with speeds of 15km/h to 25km/h, reaching 35km/h, is expected in the country this weekend.

It will also be a perfect time to go outdoors and to the beach as the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will have slight to moderate waves this weekend.

The coastal cities of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies while the interior region will have clear skies.
