Dubai: A mobile blood donation bus collected blood from 41 staff members and visitors of International Modern Hospital.
The hospital, in association with Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Centre in the Ministry of Health and Prevention, organised a successful blood donation drive to support ‘Year of Giving 2017’ initiative and generate awareness on the importance of blood donation at the workplace.
The hospital’s employees and visitors participated in the event. There were 60 registrations for donating blood of which 41 donations were accepted as per the guidelines.
Dr Kishan Pakkal, CEO of International Modern Hospital, said: “We are pleased to support the ‘Year of Giving 2017’ initiative by launching activities and events which emphasise our commitment to serving all segments of society. Through these initiatives, we encourage people to donate blood on a regular basis, thereby helping those in need.”
