Ranvir Shorey celebrates his 42nd birthday on Monday, August 18.

Aries (March 20 – April 19)

If you’d done things your way, certain practical, financial or business decisions would already be made. But fortunately events, signified in your chart by the stern Saturn, prevented this. What you learn over the next few days will both make you relieved you couldn’t make those decisions and revolutionise your thinking.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Early last week your ruler Venus joined the expansive Jupiter in accenting your domestic setup and lifestyle. This doesn’t just suggest changes but that thrilling, if initially overwhelming, offers could appear from out of the blue. Some may already have come your way. If so, at minimum, explore them.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

There’s a difference between knowing you’ll have to make decisions about elements of your work or lifestyle and actually doing it. Now that your ruler Mercury has moved to accent these, the time’s come to explore your options. The actual decisions can wait until after the New Moon, on the 25th.

Cancer (June 21 – July 21)

While you can be amazingly impulsive about personal decisions, and are often guided more by feelings than fact, you’re more cautious about money. Yet judging by the rare alliance between Venus and the fortunate Jupiter in the financial angle of your chart, you’ll need to move swiftly and trust your instincts.

Leo (July 22 – August 22)

Good things are in the air. You know about some. Still, the power of the alliance between Venus and bountiful Jupiter, in Leo, cannot be underestimated. Although you’ll recognise the promise of many events right away, others won’t be as clear. Knowing that, say yes to everything, at least for now.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

After a confusing period, now that your ruler Mercury is in Virgo, your mind’s clearer and your confidence has returned. This is helpful, as you’ll soon need to confront one particular individual who insists they’re correct but who’s just plain wrong. Have your facts handy and be prepared for a battle.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

For ages you’ve hoped somebody could devise a solution for a problem as persistent as it is complex. A suggestion’s been made but you’ve misgivings. Say nothing. Despite your concerns, it may work. If it doesn’t, offer to join the individual in question to work something out together.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

In late July the forthright Mars moved into Scorpio for a stay of six weeks. During this period you’ll be reviewing existing arrangements and, to your surprise, eliminating more than a few. While unsettling, it’s a relief, as it’s also made you aware what a burden many of these have become.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 20)

Every once in a while you meet somebody you know is special. Judging by the alliance between Venus and your ruler Jupiter, either that’s just happened or you’ve remembered how important an existing relationship is. Whatever the case, instead of busying yourself with other things, take time to enjoy this.

Capricorn (December 21 – January 19)

Over time, you encouraged certain hesitant individuals to think for themselves, which they’re now doing. However, differences between you and one particular person could make you wonder if you haven’t overdone it. Talk things through. What comes to light will reveal you did your job. Despite your misgivings, they’re right.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 17)

When the Aquarius Full Moon, on the 10th, stirred things up, you may not have recognised emotional dramas as being about tackle persistent issues. You simply dealt with the situation in question. Looking back, you can probably see how this links to others and, equally, what can be done about them all.

Pisces (February 18 – March 19)

Although your idealistic side believes certain plans must proceed as they were organised simply because they’re so right and wonderful, things don’t seem to be working out as you hoped. Believe it or not, this is for the best. Once all the facts emerge, you’ll realise why it’s better if they don’t.
