Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, issued a number of resolutions yesterday.

Shaikh Hamdan issued Resolution No. 19 of 2014, stipulating that one representative from Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority will join the Dubai’s Crisis and Disaster Management Team (CDMT). The resolution aims to supply CDMT with representatives from various vital sectors, allowing the team to fulfil all its objectives.

The Crown Prince issued resolution No. 20 of 2014, which stipulates that the Dubai Council for Design and Fashion will be chaired by the Chief Executive of Tecom Investments. The council’s other members will consist of a number of individuals specialising in design and fashion. The resolutions states that other members will be one representative each from Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, Emaar Properties, Dubai Design District, Majid Al Futaim Group, Al Tayer Group and Dubai Textile City.

Other members that will serve on the council include Farida Abdullah Al Awadi, Reem Afteem Akra, Ali Mustafa Jaber, Raji Patrick Chalhoub, Raja Fares Trad, Gassan Samir Harfoush, Nisha Jagtiani, and Azza Abdul Men’em Fahmi.

The council’s objectives revolve around enhancing the emirate’s position as a global destination for fashion and design, and as a key hub for fashion and design activities and industry.

Shaikh Hamdan also issued Resolution No. 21 of 2014 appointing Abdullah Yousuf Ali Ramadan Al Ali as Chief Executive of the Rail Agency at the Roads and Transport Authority.

All resolutions come into effect from the date of their issuance and are to be published in the official gazette.
