Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, issued on Wednesday the Executive Council’s Resolution No 17 of 2014 approving the statute of Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service.
Pursuant to the resolution, the award will honour those who have made a positive impact on community service in medicine, education, social welfare and other fields.
The award will be open to individuals, private sector bodies, associations and organisations from inside and outside the UAE. The resolution detailed the nomination’s rules and regulations.
The resolution comes into effect from the date of its issuance and is to be published in the official gazette.
Shaikh Hamdan also issued Executive Council’s Resolution No 18 of 2014 regulating school transportation in Dubai. The resolution defines the rules and regulations of the licensing, violations and fines imposed on school buses. According to the regulations approved by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the resolution details the highest specifications and standards to ensure pupils’ safety during their journey from and to school.
The resolution comes into effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette.
