Dubai: Al Nisr Distributions was named Financial Times’ “Distributor of the Year” at a newspaper industry summit — Distripress — held in Lisbon on Monday.
More than 50 global distributors handling the FT title were in the running for the top position.
The Dubai-based Al Nisr Distributions is part of the same group that publishes Gulf News. It is the second time that it picked up the title from FT, following the win in the 2010 edition held in Hamburg.
The FT newspaper is published at the main printing facility in Al Safa and, apart from the UAE and Gulf territory, is also distributed in India and Pakistan by Al Nisr Distributions.

“We have had the association with Financial Times for some years now and been consistently delivering the highest growth numbers,” said a spokesperson for Al Nisr Distributions.
