Gulf Air marked on Thursday the launch of its service to the Georgian capital Tbilisi as the carrier said it was seeing strong demand for travel to Georgia.

The Bahrain-based carrier held a celebratory event at Bahrain International Airport with George Janjgava, the Georgian ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman; along with representatives from the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs, Bahrain International Airport, and Gulf Air’s management team.

This week, Gulf Air’s three-times-weekly flights to Tbilisi will be supplemented by two additional flights due to high demand.
