BSc Horticulture
UAE University

Organic produce has seen tremendous growth in both sales and interest over the past few years. Anyone equipped with the knowledge to work with sustainable horticultural technologies is entering a field where they have the chance to not only improve people’s diets but also tackle climate change and give countries with arid climates the chance to grow their own food — something invaluable for the long-term development of the UAE. Lessons learnt here could even be applied to far-flung sci-fi concepts — terraforming Mars, anyone?

BSc Honours in Applied Golf Management
University of Birmingham

Developed in partnership with the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), this programme marries sports science and coaching theory with business management. Two compulsory PGA work placements between first and third year will give students a taste of where their qualifications will take them in the professional world. These placements may be a big part of the reason why 93.3 per cent of 2015/16 graduates were employed within six months of completing this BSc. If you don’t have what it takes to be the next Tiger Woods, there are a number of potentially lucrative career opportunities at the PGA, Adidas and any one of the thousands of golf resorts across the world.

BA Music, Technology and Media
