In testimony to his own career, having previously worked with the Bank of America in Asia and the US, V. Shankar says, “Indians do well in multinational environments because they adapt and adopt. India is a melting pot of subcultures, languages and cuisines, and prepares you to navigate a multinational environment.”

The IIM Bengaluru alumnus is the most senior international banking executive ever to be based in the Middle East for Standard Chartered. Additionally, he is a non-executive director of Majid Al Futtaim Holding LLC.
